Hammersmith BID held our September 2023 Transport Forum at the newly refurbished Ark Café in Hammersmith. Thank you to our hosts, to those who attended and to our speakers from Transport for London (TfL), Voi and Hammersmith & Fulham Council (LBHF).
Hammermsith BID updates
Hammersmith BID provided updates on the range of local transport and environment opportunities, including the launch of our new Active Travel Webpage, our work with the West London Businesses Better Futures Programme, the recent Dr Bike and Bike Marking days and the successes of London Climate Action Week and Active Travel Day on Lyric Square.
TfL updates
Following on from the BID, TfL provided updates about the A40 Westway, Hammersmith Bridge and the introduction of a new safety charter.
- A40 Westway connection to A3220 cross route is closed and traffic is being diverted across Wood Lane to rejoin the A40.
- The borough aims to complete the phase 1 stabilisation of Hammersmith Bridge by late 2023/early 2024.
- The introduction of the new meal and grocery delivery motorcycle road safety charter is made up of 10 road safety principles and is creating incentive for companies to address bad practice on the roads.
Voi comes to Hammersmith
We were also pleased to welcome Voi E-Scooters to Hammersmith & Fulham , operating in the borough since Monday 25 September 2023.

LBHF updates
Before ending the session with light refreshments and networking, we heard from H&F Council. The council gave updates on the upcoming safety changes to King Street’s cycleway, the Parcels Not Pollution offer available to businesses and the range of exciting opportunities around Cycling in H&F.
