Hammersmith set to undergo Vacant Unit audit

Hammersmith is about to undergo its quarterly audit of vacant shops and units within the town cenre. This piece of work is a good determination of the health of the town centre compared with the rest of London and the UK.

Last quarter’s survey saw an increase in units with a vacancy rate of 10.8% which is slightly higher than the UK average of 9.6%, and London’s 6%. Hammersmith’s figures are a little high due to a number of units being refurbished at the moment but we expect these numbers to decrease once the renovations are complete and new shops are in place in the area.
