01 Jul Wimbledon screenings in Lyric Square start today
Two weeks of free live Wimbledon screenings will kick off in Lyric Square today.
Tennis fans can sit back and enjoy the action from the All England Club on the big screen from 12pm every day of the Grand Slam competition, as part of the Hammersmith BID Summer Festival.
Day one will open with 2018 men’s champion Novak Djokovic and British No 1 Kyle Edmund up on Centre Court, while Johanna Konta and reigning women’s champion, Angelique Kerber, will play their opening matches on Tuesday.
Patricia Bench, BID Director, said: “It looks like summer has arrived for the first day of our Wimbledon screenings and the forecast is set to be fair all week.
“The Wimbledon live screenings are always a very popular event. We’re looking forward to a fantastic fortnight.”
The award-winning Hammersmith Summer Festival is celebrating its 13th year with a programme of free live performances, events, plus entertainment and sport on the Big Screen.
