Women’s Night Safety Charter

Women’s Night Safety Charter

The Women’s Night Safety Charter

The Women’s Night Safety Charter is committed to making London safe around the clock. During the darker winter months, we must take the necessary provisions to support women’s safety in Hammersmith.

As part of the Mayor’s Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy, the Women’s Night Safety Charter encourages organisations operating at night to sign-up for several pledges to ensure women feel more confident in the city at night. These pledges include nominating a champion responsible for actively promoting women’s safety at night, a communications campaign, a commitment to Women’s Safety training, and a dedication to designing the public realm and work spaces to make them safer for women at night.

More information about the different pledges can be found here.

Hammersmith BID is one of the many organisations committed to the Women’s Night Safety Charter. Contact us or follow the link to sign up, and offer your support to make Hammersmith a safer place for all to live, work, and visit.
