The Hammersmith BID team has been delighted to deliver, in partnership with Sainsbury’s and Kings Mall, 500 free food parcels to Hammersmith residents.
The service helped nearly 500 households self-isolating throughout lockdown to have access to essentials such as milk, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables.
The Community Parcels project, delivered by Parcels not Pollution, the BID’s zero-emission delivery scheme, will end on 31 July. As a follow-up, the BID will be conducting a survey to all recipients, asking their opinion of the service; and whether they would be interested in other community-based services or activities.
