The BID launches Renewal campaign

The BID launches Renewal campaign

The BID has launched a marketing and communications campaign, as it looks towards its Renewal Ballot, which opens on 22 February.

In common with all BIDs, Hammersmith BID is required to seek re-election every five years. All of its levy-paying businesses have been given the opportunity to be consulted on any issues they might have, and to air their views on the area. We have also welcomed ideas for renewed focus. The BID published its Business Plan in December, based on these consultations.

The projects that the BID will be focusing on are divided into three core areas; Public Realm and Green Investment; Security and Resilience; and Community and Partnerships. These reflect past performance, and the priorities that businesses have highlighted. Additional activities that the BID is offering still include Lobbying and Advocacy; and Marketing and Communications. More detail on all of these project areas can be found in the 2021-2026 Business Plan, here.

The BID is now working towards delivering a successful ballot, following success in 2006, 2011 and 2016, to continue supporting an outstanding area in which everyone can prosper and thrive. The ballot opens on 22 February and will close on 25 March at 5pm, with the result being announced on the following day. Should the ballot be successful, the BID will commence its fourth term on 1 April 2021.

Hammersmith BID is the voice for Hammersmith businesses and the additional projects and services that it provides are essential to the future success and continued vibrancy of the area. Without a successful renewal ballot, these vital initiatives will immediately cease and will not be replaced.
