Women’s Safety Film on the Big Screen

Women’s Safety Film on the Big Screen

We were pleased to host several screenings of War on Women, on our Big Screen in Lyric Square, as part of our Women’s Safety Forum. War on Women is a short film highlighting some of the things women still have to think about on a daily basis. Especially when walking alone.

The film was created by Christina Tomlin and Juan Cruz, both employees at A+E Networks in Hammersmith.

Co-creator Christina Tomlin says:

“The murder of Sarah Everard shook the UK to its core. I thought to myself, not again, not another woman.

Juan and I got talking about how passionately we felt about it and that we just had to make something, to raise awareness in some way for all the women before, as well as Sarah.

Then Sabina Nessa was murdered, we knew we were doing the right thing and enough was enough.

This is where War on Women was born.

We’d like to educate the public on some of the things we as women have to think about on a daily basis. This is our reality.”

We are excited to announce that our next quarterly Women’s Safety Forum will take place on the 16th of August 2022 from 11 am – 12 pm. We will screen the film during our forum and will use it to spark discussion around what men can do to support Women’s Safety.
