22 May Donate old and unused laptops and bring positive impact to the community
Hammersmith BID continues to support sustainability initiatives to help our community and businesses be greener. This spring 2025, consider contacting SocialBox.Biz about your old MacBooks and laptops from your offices instead of discarding them. With SocialBox.Biz’s MacBook and Laptop Reuse Initiative, you can donate Apple iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and other laptops. These can then be given to individuals who are most in need of them. By participating in this initiative, you can help change lives while promoting sustainability.
Social impact and business benefit
- Positive impact: Biz helps the vulnerable – including the homeless, refugees, and elderly people – receive old but functional MacBooks and laptops that would otherwise be thrown away or recycled.
- Business benefits: by prioritising reuse rather than waste or recycling, this also helps companies reduce Scope 3 emissions.
- Accessible and secure:Biz guarantee secure data wiping and offer flexible donation options, from parcel labels for small collections to UK-wide pickups for larger ones, making it easy to partake in the scheme.
How to take part
SocialBox.Biz is eager to receive donations as part of its Spring Clean campaign. If you have any old technology that will be discarded, please consider contacting them. You can learn more now by visiting their website: https://www.socialbox.biz/
