I Love Lunch 2015 Awards

I Love Lunch 2015 Awards

The Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, Councillor Mercy Umeh, joined the BID to congratulate our three I Love Lunch winners and award them their trophies on Tuesday, July 21 2015.

Having only opened this April, it was a tremendous win for Kettle+Crust who took home the Best Café trophy.
Based at the St. Paul’s Centre, the café is run in conjunction with the Resco Programme and provides great coffee, delicious healthy food and valuable training opportunities for the long-term unemployed.
CEO of Resco Max Manners congratulated the team for all their fantastic work in getting the café off to such a flying start and thanked everyone who voted for them.
Undefeated champions, the Hammersmith Ram picked up their fourth I Love Lunch award for Best Pub.
Unbeaten since the competition’s inception in 2012 manager Jo Cox was said she was proud to win again, adding that she may need to invest in a trophy cabinet before long if the pub continues with its trophy haul.
Finally, Italian family-run Villagio was awarded its third Best Restaurant title. Despite fierce competition from Japanese-fusion restaurant Wagamama, Villagio were once again victorious. General manager Francesco Calvagna praised the hard work of his staff and thanked all of their customers, especially the regulars who are so supportive of their business.
