In celebration of Circular Economy Week, Hammersmith BID hosted another successful Community Clothes Swap. On Wednesday 18 October, we occupied the Library of the 245 building where we welcomed Hammersmith to come along and swap their pre-loved clothes for something new. In recent years, clothes swapping has become an important part of the fashion revolution that is promoting slow fashion and reducing textile waste in a positive way. We are thrilled to share that we swapped 319 garments which equates to 92.5kg.
By counting all three Community Clothes Swaps we have hosted, we’ve saved 394.6kg of clothing from landfill.
