06 Feb Hammersmith BID and Lyric Hammersmith team up to encourage green living
Hammersmith BID and the Lyric Hammersmith will host a stall at next week’s food market on Lyric Square encouraging the virtues of all things green and environmentally friendly.
The stall will be open next Thursday (February 14) from 12pm-2pm.
The BID team will be urging customers to populate their Pledge Tree – where people can make their plastic-free and waste reduction intentions clear for all to see.
Wildflower seeds will be given out to the public, for people to plant, to encourage more bees into Hammersmith.
And, speaking of Bees, the hugely popular Hammersmith Honey will also be on sale, as well as the Lyric’s reusable water bottles and coffee cups.
A Bag Amnesty will also be a part of the stall – BID tote bags will be given to any members of the public who hand in their plastic bags. The plastic bags will then be recycled and turned into an art piece.
So, come down to Lyric Square next week for a fun afternoon and help play your part to make Hammersmith a cleaner and greener town.
