Lidl Hammersmith to open in Kings Mall

Lidl Hammersmith to open in Kings Mall

A new Lidl supermarket will open for the first time in Kings Mall Shopping Centre, Hammersmith, on Thursday 11th March at 8am.

The new store forms part of Lidl’s commitment to expansion in London, announced last year, as it looks to invest £500m across the capital over the next five years, creating around 1,400 jobs. The new Hammersmith store follows four new Lidl supermarkets opening in SW London in February 2021, including stores in Putney, Richmond and Tooting.

Lidl Hammersmith will create around 40 new roles for the area and will have an 825 m2 sales area, and an in-store bakery. There will be car parking available in Kings Mall. The store opening times will be between 8am – 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am – 5pm on Sunday.

Surplus food and customer donations will be given to a number of local charities. Westminster Children’s University Food Banks, Ay Group Community Services, Dalgarno Trust Foodbank and The Good Shepherds all work to redistribute food to some of the most vulnerable in our communities and will benefit from the new store.

This community support is delivered through Lidl’s Feed it Back scheme, which is run in partnership with Neighbourly and connects Lidl stores with local charities, food banks, community cafes and kitchens.
