London Climate Action Week 2025

London Climate Action Week 2025

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week to celebrate London Climate Action Week. We marked the week with a series of events, championing sustainability and inspiring local climate action.

Climate Festival

To kick off our Summer Festival, we invited everyone to get take part in free climate-themed activities and help raise collective climate consciousness.

Attendees had the opportunity to:

  • Plant bee-friendly flowers to take home
  • Have their bikes checked by Dr Bike and security marked by H&F’s Community Safety team
  • Trade old books for a new and exciting story through our book swap
  • Share their climate pledge for the year ahead
  • Speak to H&F’s Climate Alliance and the Community Energy team
  • Get their shoes repaired by Clarks to support a circular economy

Community Litter Pick

During the Climate Festival, we were also delighted to be joined by 19 volunteers from Hammersmith’s businesses and resident community for our litter pick. Together, we collected 26 bags of litter from Hammersmith’s town centre, creating a more vibrant place for people to live, work and thrive.

June Transport & Environment Forum

Levy-paying businesses were invited to attend our June Transport & Environment Forum. We recapped the sustainability and active travel initiatives Hammersmith BID has been involved in across Q1 and Q2, and shared information about our upcoming Summer Festival and the BID ballot.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council then provided an update on the Simpler Recycling legislation, followed by an update from TfL about the e-scooter trial, zero emission bus fleet, fare evasion countermeasures, borough funding and the piccadilly line upgrade.
