21 Mar Helix donate sofas to local charity HF Mencap
The Hammersmith based Helix Property Advisors has supported its local branch of Mencap by donating three colourful sofas for its users to enjoy.
As part of the BID’s Friendly Town – Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, the company, based in The Ark building on Talgarth Road, approached HammersmithLondon to see if there was a local organisation that wanted their three large round lobby sofas, each measuring 6ft in diameter. The BID reached out to its CSR network and HF Mencap, which offers activities for people with learning disabilities, responded that would like to house the giant sofas.
They are now being enjoyed by users at HF Mencap’s centre in Aspenlea Road. Dean Ashby, operational manager of HF Mencap, said: “All 3 sofas are now in the activities centre and the clients love them. We would like to express our thanks to Helix and the BID for the big colourful chairs – I know they will be well used.” HF Mencap is hosting a fundraising photography exhibition on Tuesday, April 19 at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith from 5.30pm to 9pm. This is a chance to buy photos taken by HF Mencap’s clients and to support this great local charity. Each attendee will receive a complimentary glass of wine on arrival. All proceeds will go to HF Mencap.
