For over a decade, their unwavering efforts have mitigated the adverse impact of these issues on towns and city centres. • Business Crime Reduction Partnerships (BCRPs): The Safer Business Network coordinates and administers award-winning BCRPs across London, earning recognition from both the Metropolitan Police Service and the City of London. As part of our commitment to enhancing safety and security within our vibrant town centre, Hammersmith BID actively collaborates with them. Our dedicated Business Engagement Officer works alongside Safer Business Network to foster community well-being.
• Training Programs: Safer Business Network offers grass-root Highfield Accredited training programs, providing valuable support to businesses of all sizes and types. Their partnership extends to Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), local government, police, and security companies.

Through our membership with Safer Business Network, Hammersmith BID ensures a safer environment for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.

The Hammersmith BID SafetyNet radio system is a crucial tool in reducing crime across our town centre. It ensures safety and security for businesses and visitors by directly connecting shops, pubs, and corporate premises to the LBHF CCTV network and the Metropolitan Police.

During the pandemic, the system adapted by monitoring radio and CCTV networks, ensuring safety during lockdowns, supporting retail adjustments, and aiding police efforts. The LBHF CCTV control room oversees approximately 1,850 cameras throughout Hammersmith & Fulham, extending to shopping centres, football stadiums, and other high-activity areas. Direct radio communication with the Met Police enhances real-time response and surveillance, creating a safer environment for all residents, businesses, and visitors in Hammersmith.

WalkSafe is a personal safety app designed to empower individuals and enhance community security.
