30 Oct Re-cap: October Women’s Safety Forum
On Wednesday 9 October 2024, to mark Menopause Awareness Month, we hosted our quarterly Women’s Safety Forum. Hammersmith businesses were invited to an informational session about menopause and the beneficial role yoga can play.
The event, led by yoga teacher, wellbeing expert and member of the British Menopause Society, Libby Stevenson, was open to people of all ages. The session was available to those experiencing menopause symptoms, as well as those who wanted to learn more about navigating this stage of life and feel better equipped with knowledge.
The session began with an introduction to the stages of menopause and touched upon the different hormone treatments available before attendees were invited to take part in an optional yoga session.
“The Yoga and Menopause event offered invaluable insights into managing menopause with mindfulness and movement, creating a supportive space for connection and wellness.” (Attendee, Novotel London West)
