Support Hammersmith’s local cancer centre Maggie’s by taking part in cycle event RideLondon or by running the Bupa 10k.
Maggie’s is located on the grounds of Charing Cross Hospital and is looking for people to take part in these hugely popular events to help raise money and awareness of the work that the centre does. Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Professional staff provide a programme which offers practical advice about benefits and eating well as well as exercise and creative classes. For more information, click here.
RideLondon
On Sunday, August 25, join 20,000 cyclists on this exciting 100 mile cycling challenge through the closed roads of London and the beautiful Surrey Hills. Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 celebrates the cycling legacy which began at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralymic Games and is organised by the same team who run the world-famous London Marathon.
To take part in RideLondon 100 in aid of Maggie’s requires a £30 registration fee and for you to commit upon registration to raising a minimum of £600 in sponsorship for Maggie’s.
Bupa 10k
This 10K starts and finishes in leafy St James’s Park on Monday, May 25 and takes runners on a clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London passing many of London’s famous sights including Admiralty Arch, Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. There is a £20 registration fee and Maggie’s asks that you pledge to raise as much as you can.
