01 Jul Thank you for attending our Business Plan Launch
On Wednesday 25 June, we hosted our Business Plan launch at Disney HQ. We were delighted to welcome our levy-paying businesses, bringing high street stores, leisure, hospitality and the office sector together to celebrate our past achievements and look at our plans for the next 5-year term.
Our Business Plan for 2026 to 2031 sets out to invest £5 million into Hammersmith’s town centre, continuing to deliver award-winning projects. Having consulted with over 127 businesses, our Business Plan was shaped by your priorities, Place, Safety and Community.
Place
We are committed to creating a strong and vibrant Hammersmith, ensuring the town centre holds its status as a competitive and desirable place to work, live and visit. Place underlines our dedication to sustainability – keeping the environment at the heart of everything we do – place making and developing phase two of our public realm vision.
Safety
Safer streets have always been a priority for Hammersmith BID. Through our Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) with the Met Police, H&F Council and Safer Business Network – funded by the BID – we will continue to take a multi-agency approach to tackling business crime in the area. Forums such as our Women’s Safety Forum, PubWatch, Building Watch and ShopWatch will also continue to be delivered in the next term, providing briefings, sharing intelligence and training.
Community
Bringing vibrancy to Hammersmith, we plan on building on our events programme throughout the next 5 years. Our popular Summer Festival entertains hundreds to thousands of people through its main fixture, the Big Screen, showing live Wimbledon and film nights for all! Our Christmas Lights Switch On, which is growing every year, has the same effect – bringing hope, sparkle and entertainment to Lyric Square during the darker months. In line with community as a project area, we wish to maintain our CSR and volunteering initiatives, facilitating ways businesses can give back.
Thank you to those who attended and to Disney for hosting the event and providing complimentary catering. If you are a levy-paying business and could not attend, find out more about the upcoming ballot and access our Business Plan HERE.
Vote YES for 5 more years of Hammersmith BID connecting people, businesses and place. Without your yes vote, our plans fail to materialise, leading to a halt of BID services. Vote YES for £5million investment into Hammersmith’s town centre.
