21 Aug That’s a wrap for our Summer Festival 2025!
This year we provided over six weeks of free entertainment through our Big Screen and other events, bringing together families, colleagues and visitors, creating a vibrant atmosphere in Hammersmith’s town centre. From June to August, 450,000 people passed through Lyric Square while our Summer Festival was live. 95,674 of those had a dwell time of 15 minutes or more enjoying our programme of free events, which is an increase of 26% compared to last year.
To kick off the festivities, we celebrated London Climate Action Week with our Climate Festival. A range of activities were happening on the day including a wildflower planting workshop, a community litter pick and other green activities.
Collaborating with screen provider C-Screens, we showed Wimbledon live on the Big Screen, and our stewards put out our green deckchairs and extra seating so you could watch the matches in comfort. We also hosted four movie nights, screening a mix of blockbuster movies and cult classics for the whole family to enjoy: Wicked, Bend It Like Beckham, Inside Out 2 and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
We teamed up again with Livat Hammersmith for our Feel Good Tuesdays programme, offering a range of wellness initiatives on Tuesday lunchtimes throughout July. Classes included yoga, breathwork, meditation and more. Plus, Pure Gym Hammersmith joined us for a couple of weeks to host fitness sessions and provide information about keeping healthy.
Picnic in the Square made a comeback this year. We put out picnic benches for you to grab lunch from Hammersmith’s eateries and enjoy it while watching the Big Screen.
To round off the festival, we held three activity days for children and families in partnership with Fulham FC Foundation, with one more day to come with Chelsea FC Foundation.
Falling under our Community project area, we’ve loved putting on these events – all funded by our local businesses – to make a difference in Hammersmith. Thank you to all who attended our 18th Summer Festival!
