21 Oct YPBOC X In Bloom Sounds
Hammersmith BID is proud to support the Young People’s Borough of Culture (YPBOC), an initiative creating new opportunities for young people to develop their creativity and connect with the borough’s vibrant arts and cultural scene.
YPBOC is a Where Culture Connects project led by Lyric Hammersmith Theatre. Other supporters include Hammersmith & Fulham Council, The Earls Courts Development Company, DanceWest and Fulham Pier.
As a proud supporting partner, Hammersmith BID is delighted to play a part in this collaborative initiative, helping bring creativity into public spaces — making arts and culture more accessible to the local community.
Running from Monday 26 October to Saturday 31 October, the YPBOC Youth Arts Festival will feature over 50 free creative experiences, including workshops, live performances and short courses.
As part of the programme, we’ll be bringing In Bloom Sounds to Lyric Square, with live performances taking place in front of our In Bloom installation. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover young musical talent while enjoying the interactive light and sound sculpture.
By hosting live performances alongside the sculpture, we’re creating another opportunity for people to engage with art in an everyday public space, while celebrating the creativity of the next generation.

Initiatives such as these demonstrate the importance of working together to build a thriving and inclusive cultural scene. By connecting young people with a professional network and opportunities to showcase their work, the programme is helping to nurture local talent and strengthen the borough’s creative community.
