31 Oct September: Environmental Walkabout
Our Environmental & Street Cleansing Walkabouts support our commitment to creating a resilient town centre. During our walkabouts, we focus on the issues across the three zones of the BID area. To help improve the public realm in Hammersmith, we report various street cleanliness concerns via the lovecleanstreets app.

In September 2023, 41 incidents were reported via the lovecleanstreets app, but over 70% of all concerns were resolved by the end of the month.
Zone 1: Hammersmith Road, Shepherd’s Bush Road and Hammersmith Broadway
- Graffiti accounts for 50% of the concerns across Zone 1 reported via the lovecleanstreets app in September. However, when the concerns are around offensive graffiti, these reports are dealt with within one week.
- Overall, 75% of all reported issues across Zone 1 of the Hammersmith BID area were resolved by the end of September.
Zone 2: King Street, Beadon Road and Hammersmith Grove
- Concerns of obstructing E-Bikes and E-Scooter persist along King Street. However, once reported, the removal happens within 24 hours. If you see any E-Bikes or E-Scooters outside of their designated area causing obstruction, Hammersmith & Fulham Council has now made it possible for the community in Hammersmith to report this directly via the lovecleanstreets and will ensure the removal of obstruction within 24 hours.
Zone 3: Hammersmith Flyover, Talgarth Road and Fulham Palace Road
- Work to resolve larger-scale highway obstructions continues.
- 75% of all reported incidents across Zone 3 have been resolved, including 100% of all flyposting, fly-tipping and graffiti.
